One of the hydrological centers of North America is the Athabasca Glacier in Jasper National Park, Alberta. A hydrological center is anyplace where the water flows north, south, east and west.

Something that struck me as particularly odd about the floods in western Canada was how ordinary everything felt except for the occasional clamor of hysterical television networks. You wouldn't even notice something extraordinary was unfolding unless you where at the exact spots where the presence of all that excess water was impossible to ignore. Video acquired by Kent Tate in Alberta, Saskatchewan, and Manitoba.
